These legal notices supplement the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines. They are meant to explain important limits around service availability, user responsibility, and app operation.

No service-level agreement

VillageGather is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. The app does not include a service-level agreement, uptime commitment, support response commitment, data recovery commitment, or guarantee of uninterrupted access.

Subscription access does not guarantee service

Subscription access may unlock features, limits, or account capabilities, but it does not guarantee that VillageGather will always be available, error-free, complete, secure against every risk, or available for any specific period of time. Features may change, pause, or be removed as the product, safety needs, legal requirements, or technical constraints evolve.

Voluntary use

Use of VillageGather is voluntary. You decide whether to create an account, share profile information, contact another family, RSVP to a plan, attend an in-person activity, or continue using the service.

No guarantee of outcomes

VillageGather helps parents discover potential connections, but it does not guarantee compatibility, friendship, attendance, responses, safety, identity, background, educational fit, or any specific result from using the app.

No emergency or safety monitoring service

VillageGather is not an emergency service, childcare provider, background-check service, transportation service, or real-time safety monitoring service. If there is an emergency or immediate safety concern, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authorities.

In-person responsibility

Families are responsible for their own decisions before, during, and after any in-person plan. Use public, family-friendly spaces, supervise children appropriately, protect private information, and use independent judgment when deciding whether to meet, continue contact, or share additional details.

User content and accuracy

Profiles, notes, plans, RSVPs, messages, reports, and feedback may contain information submitted by users. VillageGather may review or moderate content, but it does not guarantee that every statement is accurate, complete, current, or appropriate.

Changes, suspension, and discontinuation

VillageGather may update, limit, suspend, discontinue, or remove features, accounts, content, or access when needed for product operation, safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, maintenance, or business reasons. Users may also be banned from VillageGather entirely when their conduct, content, account activity, or risk profile is inconsistent with safe or lawful use of the service.

Third-party services

VillageGather may depend on hosting, authentication, database, email, payment, analytics, mapping, or other third-party services. Outages, changes, restrictions, or failures from those providers may affect the app. Third-party providers may also have their own terms, policies, fees, privacy practices, legal notices, and requirements that apply independently from VillageGather's terms and notices.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VillageGather is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses related to unavailable service, user conduct, offline interactions, lost data, lost opportunities, or decisions made based on app information.

Rights that cannot be waived

Some laws may provide rights that cannot be waived or limited. Nothing in these notices is intended to limit rights that legally cannot be limited.
